We collect only the minimum data necessary to operate the platform. This includes data you provide directly and data collected automatically as part of operating a secure web service:

• Email address — provided when you register or purchase a course.
• Purchase history — records of courses you have purchased.

Data collected automatically:

• Course progress — lessons completed, quiz results, and certificates earned.
• Session data — login timestamps and session identifiers required for authentication.
• Technical data — IP addresses, browser type, and device information processed by our servers and security systems.
• Server logs — standard logs generated automatically by our hosting infrastructure for security and operational purposes.

• Account registration — when you sign up you provide your name and email address.
• Course purchase — your name and email are passed to our payment provider to process the transaction. A purchase record is created linking your account to the course.
• Platform use — technical and session data are collected automatically as you use the platform.

We process your personal data on the following lawful bases:

• Contract performance — to provide the courses and services you have purchased.
• Legal obligations — to comply with applicable laws including financial and tax record-keeping requirements.
• Legitimate interests — to maintain the security of the platform, prevent fraud, and improve our service.

5. Payment Processing

Payments are currently processed by Paddle. When you make a purchase you interact directly with their payment infrastructure. AsranLab never receives, stores, or has access to your card number, bank details, or any other payment credentials. Paddle operates under its own privacy policy and security standards. We encourage you to review their policy before completing a purchase. We may introduce additional payment providers in the future and will update this policy accordingly.

6. Cookies

• Session cookie — keeps you logged in while you use the platform. Strictly necessary and cannot be disabled without breaking core functionality.
• Embed cookies — course videos are hosted on YouTube and Vimeo. When a video loads, your browser communicates directly with those platforms and they may set their own cookies independently. This direct communication is outside AsranLab's control. Their handling of your data is governed by their own privacy policies — see Google's Privacy Policy and Vimeo's Privacy Policy.

7. Analytics

AsranLab does not currently use any analytics tools. We plan to introduce Google Analytics in the future. When activated, Google Analytics may collect information such as device information, pages visited, session duration, approximate geographic region, and usage patterns. We will update this policy and notify users before activating any analytics service.

8. Hosting and Infrastructure

AsranLab uses trusted cloud hosting and infrastructure providers to operate the platform. These providers may process your data as part of delivering our service, but do so only on our behalf and under confidentiality obligations. They do not use your data for their own purposes.

We take reasonable technical measures to protect your data including encrypted connections (HTTPS), secure session management, and access controls. However no system is completely secure and we cannot guarantee absolute security of data transmitted over the internet.

This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of the Arab Republic of Egypt, except where mandatory consumer protection or privacy laws in your jurisdiction provide otherwise.

14. Policy Changes

We reserve the right to update this Privacy Policy at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email or a prominent notice on the website before they take effect. The "Last updated" date at the top always reflects the current version. Continued use of the platform after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
